Spent one night at the Inn, had lunch at the bar and dinner later that night Service and food in the restaurant were both great. The rooms were very comfortable. Would have liked to have temperature control, but it was not a big issue.
My wife and I went for trivia night. We got bacon wrapped scallops and spicy fried green beans as appetizers. She got a taco salad and I got a cheesesteak and everything was delicious! The staff was super friendly, trivia was very fun, and we had a great time.
I have always enjoyed eating here but ate again recently under the newer management and the food was so amazing.
We went for dinner Service was wonderful , greeted right away , the waitress was so fun and personable. Food was fresh , hot and delicious. Great beers on tap . We did not stay in the hotel as were local but a cute place to stay if your passing through
This is a nice laid-back place. Sat at the bar and got better than expected service to eat. Often bartenders are busy with the drinks and pay less attention to those eating, but no in this case. I got the Buffalo Chicken Wrap, which was really good and loaded with chicken. The price was very reasonable. There was music which was nice and not so loud that you couldn't still make conversation. I would go there again.
Great food and awesome staff. The Watson Inn offers nice American restaurant fare in a beautiful, large building. The main dining area and the bar area are spacious and comfortable. Our waiter was very kind and attentive. We enjoyed our lunch very much and hope to stop in again!
Ordered the Hot Open Roast Beef special this evening as a take-out item. I order this dish frequently when restaurants sell it - it’s a classic and a great comfort dish for those that enjoy the Homestyle influence. I grew up with various homestyle cooks in my family - I’ve had this dish dozens and dozens of times. This one was one of the better ones I’ve had! Bread was fresh and thick enough to maintain its shape under the beef and gravy - many times this dish can become soupy and soggy if not prepared with this in mind. This sandwich was prepared very well in that regard. Beef was tender. Gravy was flavored well - a nice balance of salty and savory. The gravy over the fries was a pleasant surprise. And all for 10.99. You can’t even get a fast-food combo meal for that price anymore. Support local. I hope this special sticks around!
